We have alot of new news from N.E.R.O. since our last update.

First, we would like to thank John & Elizabeth Regan. They donated a Jeep Cherokee to N.E.R.O. to help with the transportation of the dogs. We know that this Jeep had a lot of sentimental value to Elizabeth, and we really appreciate it. We are going to get the windows tinted & get the N.E.R.O. decals put on it and we will put a photo of it on our photo page. Thanks again.

Next, we would like to welcome "MWD DIX" to N.E.R.O. "Dix" came from Fifth Fleet K9 Unit in Bahrain. This is the same kennel as "Ronnie" came from, and was also a patrol/explosive K9.

On 9/11, Ron & I  were on the "Jack & Kimberly Show" with "Ronnie". It is a local TV Show that airs throughout the Upstate of SC. It was alot of fun. "Ronnie" did great. Later that morning, we got some more great news. We found out that we were approved to adopt "MWD DIX".

"Dix" arrived back home in the U.S. in October. We picked him up on Oct. 24th from Norfolk, VA. A big THANK YOU goes out to Cheif David Nielson, he is who flew home with "Dix" and also THANKS to all the staff at the Holiday Inn, Portsmouth,VA- Your hospitality was the BEST!

"Dix" has adapted very well. During his first week home the Spartanburg Miniac's (Mini Cooper Club), brought him and the other guys tons of gifts. It was alot of fun & "Dix" acted like he knew everyone already. Thank you Elaine, and ALL of the Miniacs!

"Dix" & "Ronnie" act like good old war buddies, they get along great! It's like they remember being across the hall from each other in Bahrain.

On Nov. 10th - Kevin Cook did a Veterans Day Car Show in Middleboro, MA. to help N.E.R.O. - Seemed like a lot of fun, it was even aired on one of Boston's best radio stations. Thank you Kevin for all that you did!

Then at the end of November, we had a beautiful female malinois come into N.E.R.O. Her name is "Dakota". She was a local narcotics dog that is not able to work anymore. She too is a real sweetheart.

We have done several Gun & Knife Shows to help raise money for N.E.R.O., they have been alot of fun too. "Ronnie" has been going to them with us and at the last one "Dix" came along too.

We will try to keep this more updated than we have been doing.

Check out the new photos!
